Ugen Norbu
Ugyen Norbu began his journey with the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) on March 15, 1995, when he was just nine years old. He was part of the very first batch of students enrolled in TIPA’s newly established cultural school, marking the beginning of a lifelong dedication to the preservation and performance of Tibetan traditional arts.
Over the years, Ugyen’s talent and commitment steadily grew. In 2007, after more than a decade of rigorous training and performances, he was officially promoted to the position of junior artiste. This milestone reflected both his artistic maturity and his growing role within the institute. Continuing to hone his craft with passion and discipline, he reached another significant milestone in 2011, when he was elevated to the role of senior artiste.
Throughout his time at TIPA, Ugyen Norbu contributed immensely to the cultural mission of the institute, performing in numerous national and international programs. His tenure with TIPA officially concluded on January 10, 2016, bringing to a close more than two decades of dedication, during which he not only grew as a performer but also played a vital role in sustaining and sharing Tibetan performing arts with the world.

Passang Lhamo
She is a graduate artist of the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts. She joined TIPA at the age of twelve in 1992 and received training in traditional Tibetan Performing arts, instruments, music, opera and theatre. In 2010 She left TIPA and now resides in Canada. With her years of education and training in Traditional Tibetan performing art, music, opera and theatre, she continues to work towards the preservation and promotion of Tibetan cultural heritage by connecting the younger generations of Tibetan and the young adults to these arts. She has recorded a few contemporary songs produced by the TIPA during her time in the institute and published several solo albums.

Tenzin Jamyang
Tenzin Jamyang joined the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) in 2004. During his time at the institute, he received training in traditional Tibetan music, dance, and performing arts. He took part in various programs and performances as part of his role at TIPA.
He continued working with the institute until 2016, completing 12 years of service before leaving.

Tenzin Donsel
Tenzin Donsel joined the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) on March 15, 1995, at the age of nine. She was part of the first batch of students in TIPA’s newly formed cultural school, which focused on training young people in traditional Tibetan performing arts.
After several years of training and participation in various programs, she was promoted to junior artiste in 2007. In 2011, she became a senior artiste, taking on more responsibilities and performing more regularly with the group.
She continued to work at TIPA until 2012, completing 17 years with the institute. During this time, she contributed to many performances and cultural activities as a trained artiste.
