On 29th October 2021, TIPA organized a farewell event for the nine outgoing students of Monpa Institute of Performing arts in the presence of Shri Jambey Wangdi, who is a Chairman, Department of Karmik and Adhyatmik Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
Monpa Institute of Performing arts was founded on 19th February 2021 under the vision and guidance of Shri Pema Khandu, Honorable Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh and tireless efforts of Shri Jambey Wangdi, Chairman, Department of Karmik and Adhyatmik (Choe-Rig) Government of Arunachal Pradesh. The first batch of Monpa institute of performing arts student was given training by the Tibetan Institute of Performing arts in 2019 for thirteen months under the memorandum of understanding between Choe-rig Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh and Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts.
This time, TIPA has given three-month crash course training to 9 MIPA artists. The examination was conducted on 27th October, in various fields of performing arts, i.e., Folk dance, Musical instruments, vocals, composition and opera. All the students have performed an excellent output, achieving a first division result. And to celebrate their vision and success, the Interim Director, Mr. Sonam Chophel extended wishes and hope to the Honorable Chief Minister Shri. Pema Khando and Shri Jambey Wangdi for the upcoming projects and work to keep the culture of Arunachal Pradesh alive. Furthermore, Mr. Jambhey Wangdi awarded certificates to all the students and gave a congratulatory note and expressed gratitude to TIPA on behalf of Government of Arunachal Pradesh people for providing training to the MIPA artiste.
