THEATRE SECTION TIPA
The Theatre Group of the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts was officially formed on 11th October 2024 under the vision of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Mr. Harry Furmann, a Theatre Instructor from Germany, who specially travelled to train the artistes of the Institute. Prior to the formation of the group, all artistes underwent two intensive workshops, one conducted by Mr. Harry and another by Mr. Jean François, focusing on various elements of theatrical performance. Mr. François, in particular, provided in-depth training on the modulation and fluctuation of voice in drama.
