In my opinion, the Tibetan Opera or the Ache Lhamo tradition is facing the hardest challenge in terms of attracting the younger generation or in preserving it or performing it in an undiluted form. The Tibetan Institute Of performing arts and some of the early opera master had played an instrumental role in preserving the tradition in exile and now it is up to us, the present generation who has learnt from those masters to not only preserve it but to pass it to next generation of Tibetans and to make it mass appeal.
