On 17 July 2026, at 9:00 a.m., the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) hosted an inspiring talk in its auditorium by renowned former TIPA artist Jhola Techung. He addressed the staff, teachers, artists, trainees, and other members of the Institute on the importance of preserving Tibetan performing arts and culture, emphasizing their vital role in safeguarding Tibetan identity and highlighting the future prospects of this rich artistic tradition.
Following the talk, the audience participated in an interactive question-and-answer session with Jhola Techung, during which he shared further insights and responded to a variety of questions. In recognition of his valuable contribution and continued dedication to the preservation and promotion of Tibetan performing arts, the Director of TIPA presented him with a token of appreciation.
