On September 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) hosted a welcome reception at its auditorium for distinguished delegates visiting Dharamsala to attend the official celebration of the 66th Tibetan Democracy Day, organized by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).
The reception was attended by intellectuals, activists, professionals, and other distinguished guests from democratic societies around the world. The Director of TIPA formally welcomed the visiting delegates and expressed his appreciation for their presence and continued interest in and support for the Tibetan cause and its cultural heritage.
As part of the reception, TIPA artists presented a selection of traditional Tibetan music, dance, and cultural performances, offering the distinguished guests an opportunity to experience and appreciate the richness and diversity of Tibet’s unique cultural traditions.
The guests warmly appreciated the performances and commended TIPA’s continued efforts to preserve, promote, and share Tibet’s rich cultural heritage with audiences around the world.
The programme concluded with a dinner hosted by Kashag at TIPA, providing an opportunity for the delegates, guests, and TIPA representatives to interact and exchange views in a cordial and welcoming atmosphere.
