ཟློས་ཟུར་མཐུན་ཚོགས། (TIPA ALUMNI)

He was a graduate artist of the Teacher Training Course, who got enrolled in 1992 in the Tibetan Institute of Performing Art. After the training, he has been serving as a music teacher in SOS Pokhara, Nepal. It’s been 28 years of service in the Sambhota Tibetan School and he aspires to continue working for the preservation and promotion of Tibetan cultural and performing arts.

She joined the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts in 1992 and studied Traditional Tibetan music, dance and Opera. In 2002, she moved to the United States and served the Tibetan Community in NYNJ as the Traditional Tibetan dance and music instructor. Namgyal Dolma taught and mentored many aspiring younger generations of Tibetan artists growing up in the United States. Currently, she teaches Tibetan dance and music in her spare time and remains an active member of the community in the preservation and promotion of Tibetan culture through traditional Tibetan dance and music.

He joined TIPA at the age of ten, from 1985 to 2005 and is one of the 19 child artists recruited for TIPA’s first cultural school program. He completed tenth grade from upper TCV school and became Tipa Artist in 1993. In the year 2005, he immigrated to the United States, and now he lives in Boston. For the past 10 years, he has been teaching dance and music to the Tibetan Association of Boston.

He joined the Tibetan Institute of performing arts in 1995 and studied for 17 years. In 2011, he left TIPA and settled in the USA. During his time at TIPA, he excelled in Tibetan classical music and dance and performed vigorously around the world.

Tenzin was born and raised in Dharmsala, India. He joined TIPA in 1993. After undergoing five years of rigorous training and practice there, Tenzin was promoted to the level of Junior Artiste. After five more years of extensive performance throughout the world, he became a Senior Artiste and received the diploma of Advanced Studies from the Institute. In 2004, Tenzin moved to the US and served as the traditional dance teacher to youth in the Minnesota Tibetan community. Along with teaching, he travels across the country to perform and has co-created, composed, and choreographed plays with Minneapolis-based theatre company Tiger Lion Arts. Productions with TLA include The Buddha Prince, a story about His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and KIPO! a story about Tenzin’s late uncle, and former TIPA dance and song teacher, Jampa Lungthok (Bashey Genla). Tenzin is also co-founder and a lead singer of Melong Band, a Tibetan rock band which has released three albums to date.

She is Tsering D Sangpo. She was in Teacher Training Course training for a year and worked 10 years under CTSA and is currently living in San Francisco

She joined TIPA in 1965. She was popularly known as ‘The Nightingale of Tibet’’ and graduated from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts. She was a singer, dancer and a teacher in TIPA until 1979. In the same year, she left for Netherland and performed in various concerts and functions to showcase and promote Tibetan culture through her music. She is famously known as a well-established Tibetan singer all over the world.

He joined TIPA in 1994. He worked as a driver and was a head of the TIPA Tibetan Youth Congress group. Later, he served monitor for two terms in the institute and participated in the Dhasa settlement driver welfare association and became the head for two terms. In 2011, he shifted to France and is currently leading the Tibetan association performing society in France.

He was born as Tibetan refugee of 2nd generation in Dehradun India. He trained for many years at Tipa to become a Tibetan Traditional music, dancer, opera, singer, composer inheritor. His innate talent to the music thrives with his original songs based upon Tibetan Buddhist Philosophy. In 2010 he moved to Japan and continue his music career. In 2013, he released his 1st group CD album called inadanian and too with the improvised session and concert with other artists to all over the Japan. In 2016, he also Performed in National Palace Museum of Taiwan. In 2017 he released his 1st solo album called Prayers of snow lion, Sounds of Wind Horse. He continues playing music with many different band groups in whole over the Japan.

He graduated from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA); with Diploma in Teacher Training Course (TTC) in “Traditional Tibetan Dance, Music and Opera”, in India from 1996 to 1999. He has been making continuous efforts to promote Tibetan Music & Culture to South Korea and the world through performances. Moreover, he is a singer-songwriter-musician who has been 18 years since his debut in 2004. Currently, he is the CEO and Music Producer of Kharag Studio in South Korea and a professional Tibetan Traditional Performing Artist with 15 years of experience in Korea. He is working as a Tibetan culture and art teacher too.

She is a graduate artist of the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts. She joined TIPA at the age of twelve in 1992 and received training in traditional Tibetan Performing arts, instruments, music, opera and theatre. In 2010 She left TIPA and now resides in Canada. With her years of education and training in Traditional Tibetan performing art, music, opera and theatre, she continues to work towards the preservation and promotion of Tibetan cultural heritage by connecting the younger generations of Tibetan and the young adults to these arts. She has recorded a few contemporary songs produced by the TIPA during her time in the institute and published several solo albums.

He graduated from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA); with a Diploma in Teacher Training Course (TTC) in “Traditional Tibetan Dance, Music and Opera”, in India from 1985-to 1988. After his education, he worked in TIPA as a music teacher for the second music and dance teacher’s training for one year from 1992 to 1993. Post this, he worked in CTSA school as a music and dance teacher for 29 years. He retired from music and dance teacher in May 2017.

He graduated from the Tibetan Institute of Performing arts with a diploma in Teacher Training Course (TTC) from 1985 to 1988. He worked at CST Gothangaon from July 1988 to 1994 then at CST CVP Bylakuppe from 1995 to 2008 as a Music and Dance teacher. From 2009 onwards, he worked at CST/STS Bylakuppe as a Music and Dance teacher until October 2021. Presently he is a retiree and is staying in Bylakuppe.

He graduated from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA); after pertaining Diploma in Teacher Training Course (TTC) in “Traditional Tibetan Dance, Music and Opera”, in India from 2000 to 2001. He worked as a music, dance and opera instructor in various Tibetan schools and associations for 22 years in Nepal. Currently, he is a member of the Nepal opera association and provides music classes as well.

She joined TIPA in 1964 and graduated from the Tibetan Institute of Performing arts in 1973. She had sung numerous songs in different Tibetan movies and spiritual mantras. She spent about nine years at TIPA and build her talents and interest in the institute and soon became an acclaimed solo singer. She had performed throughout the world in various concerts and functions to showcase and promote Tibetan culture through music. She left TIPA in 1980 and is now a successful entrepreneur.

He joined TIPA in 2014 to study Tibetan music instruments and did his study for four years and later resigned in the year 2018. Currently, he is running his own business where he makes Tibetan lute (Dranyen).
